Bodelva View circular route

Directions and points of interest

Starting from the Eden Project’s upper car parks (Melon, Cherry, Lemon or Mango), turn on to the hard surfaced cycling and walking route towards Eden’s North gate.

Soon after passing the large carved Pineapple and a second cattle grid, turn left as the Clay Trails Bugle signs indicates but leave the paved path here for the sand footpath ahead of you (instead of turning right to continue to Bugle) and walk up the slope. The path is well defined, continue on until you reach an open area of sand.  Continue along the sandy area and then take a left at the small granite boulder (if you carry on ahead you would reach Trethurgy village).

Follow this path through the woods and on through a gate and then on to a tarmac surface as it crosses a field.  Look out for  great views over St Austell bay and the intervening countryside. The path then dog legs right and left across a lane and continues on to the Eden site (follow the blue Route 2 signs and then the black granite boulder arrows).

At the edge of the Eden site there is a bridleway T junction, turn left to continue this circular walk following the Eden signs, the path soon becomes paved again and takes you down to the Eden access road, where you turn left (go straight ahead across the road if you want to visit Eden) and follow the route back, alongside the road for a stretch, then beside fields and an orchard before re-emerging back beside the road just below Strawberry car park to the left.

Please note a short section of this route is not an official clay trail hence it cannot be officially designated as multi-use.
